CHECKLIST: Open Enrollment Tips to access At Your Service

Summary: In accessing the At Your Service website for open enrollment, establish or confirm your UC personal identification number, select health plans, primary care physicians, and receive e-mail confirmation.
Read directions on how to sign on to At Your Service Online using your UCINetID.

Complete New User log in
  • Select New User, if applicable.
  • Sign in with your Social Security Number and your 8-digit birth date (MMDDYYYY) as your temporary password
  • Create a new password
  • Create a new username
  • Create a Security word, e.g. mother's maiden name
  • Select from the drop-down menu and answer six 'challenge' (security) questions
If you don't know your username
  • Select 'Forgot Your Username'
  • Sign in with your Social Security Number (SSN) and Password
  • Your username will be provided to you online
If you don't know your password
  • Select the word 'password' from 'Forgot your username or password'
  • Enter your Social Security number or user name
  • Select 'E-mail me a temporary password' or 'ask my challenge questions'
    • If you select 'ask my challenge questions', you will be asked 3 questions from list of challenge questions
    • If you answer your challenge questions correctly, you will be able to create a new password online
  • A temporary password and sign in instructions will be sent to your uci.edu e-mail address on file
  • Return to the 'Sign In' page
  • Enter your Username
  • Enter your temporary password
  • You will be asked to create a new password
  • Re-enter your password
  • Keep password secure for future use
Request e-mail confirmation for At Your Service Online (AYSO) transactions
  • Go to the AYSO Web page
  • Select 'Sign In to My Accounts'
  • Enter your SSN or Username and Password
  • Select "My Contact Information"
  • Select "Personal E-mail"
  • Enter then re-enter your E-mail address
  • Select "Submit"
  • You will receive an e-mail notice for any future transactions on At Your Service Online
Avoid the back arrow button after you have entered the "Log On" enrollment site
  • Use only the white buttons on the left side of the screen.
  • You need only select the plans you want to change.
Obtain Primary Care Physician (PCP) identification number
  • Search for a PCP (primary care physician) on the At Your Service website
  • Select "Enrollment" and then select "California employees"
  • Select "Find a Doctor"
  • Select your choice of medical plan and follow the instructions for locating a PCP
  • The PCP or Enrollment number is contained in the physician's profile - The number should not contain any letters.Do not use the number listed for paper enrollments.
Be prepared
  • The Web tool will time you out in 12 minutes, per screen, if you do not enter data
Make decisions before accessing the Web tool
  • Have your PCP/enrollment ready
  • Have your projected estimates for health care or dependent care expenses ready. A calculator tool to estimate your expenses is available on the website
  • Have the Social Security numbers of your dependents ready. A spouse cannot be enrolled online without a Social Security number; if you don't have a Social Security number for your spouse, you must enroll by form, UPAY 850.

Review and Confirm
  • Select "Review & Confirm" to see all of the changes that you made
  • Select "Confirm" if you are satisfied with all of your changes
  • A confirmation number will be e-mailed to you
Retain your Confirmation number
  • Use the confirmation number to help research your transaction
