Summary: Ergonomics is the science of fitting the work environment to people, rather than fitting people to the work environment. To request an ergonomic evaluation follow these procedures:

  1. Ask your supervisor to contact the campus Ergonomics Specialist for an evaluation of your work area:
2Request ergonomic training for a small group (up to 10 employees)
  1. Ask your supervisor to contact the campus Ergonomics Specialist for training up to 10 employees at the department location:

3Request ergonomic training for Supervisors / Managers from Environmental Health and Safety
  1. Contact the campus Ergonomics Specialist for basic ergonomic principles in setting up workstations, improving existing workstations, and responsibilities of management:
